Biak na Bato Trip

Last March 14, 2009, our class went to the historical place of Biak na Bato in San Miguel, Bulacan.
The reason? To have our pictures taken for the annual-like project. That was the first time our class went out together.
It was an hour before lunch when we arrived there. Having so much to do, we decided to eat early lunch to enjoy our walk and spelunking after.
We had seen the centennial tree in the place. As we continued to walk by, we had been able to see things which were new to our sight considering that majority were their first time to see the place.
One of the places we had seen was the Bat Cave. Our tour guides said that Katipuneros used to make that cave their resting place during the old days. Inside the cave was a small clear stream. We took our pictures for the annual inside the cave and headed to our next destination.
The next plan was to enjoy the rest of the trip... swimming – actually, they didn’t able to swim instead, they just plunged themselves into the waters. It was an exhausting trip! Whew! Four kilometers of walking and climbing high places… rocky pavement…. What a trip to remember!
REMARKABLE LINES:
"Nagkabiyak-biyak ang paa ko sa kalalakad sa Biak na Bato... pero masaya ako."
BIAK NA BATO:
Why is it called Biak na Bato? Biak na Bato…. according to our tour guides was formed due to what they call “SIGNOS” or flash flood from the top of the mountain.
“Hinampas ng rumaragasang tubig na galing sa taas ng bundok yung mga malalaking bato. Dahil sa malakas yung impact ng pagragasa, nabibiyak ang mga bato…”- Ate Dory

Baguio Forest House : Bed and Breakfast

One of the best places to visit and stay while you are in Baguio is this cozy place where you will always feel like it’s Christmas – Baguio Forest House. Fortunately, I was able to experience staying here even for just a night for business matters. Literally, I felt like I’m inside Santa’s house – the color, the ambiance, and the designs!

I must admit, I really love the place and now I understand why most of the people I used to ask of the where-to’s in Baguio always recommend this place.

Ambiance
One of the things I loved during my stay this September 2015 was the ambiance of each place of the house. Every part of the house is a good place to relax and feel comfortable.

The Room
The room is also one of the things I love about this place. I wish I have the same style in our house. Rustic and quaint ! I heard the house is owned by an architect which explains why the design is simply captivating.

The Food
Needless to say, the fact that I took photos of the food before eating is really som…

What I Would Say to My 22-year-old Self? After 5 years!

April 4, 2011 College of Engineering, Graduation Day at Bulacan State University
Hey Chad!
How are you? You're already 22 and about to graduate with an engineering degree! Yes, you will no longer study in school. Maybe you'll miss it, maybe, not. As Andre Maurois quoted the great English writer Carlyle, "A man ought to spend the first part of his life conversing with the dead, the second with the living and the third with himself.” and you already finished the first stage of life. Congratulations!

Now, you have an exciting future and career ahead of you. Don't worry too much about the next step. You can do it! Just stay focused. I know by now you're worrying about getting the license. Hey man! You can make it to the list! Trust me!
After that, you will be entering the corporate world. I know you’ve always wanted to be in the IT field and it has always been your passion since you entered college. When you get there, my advice to you is to focus. You have to calm d…

It's All About Time

When I was younger and looked ahead , time seemed to move so slowly….
I could hardly imagine what other folks often said.

“Ang bilis ng oras.” “Lunes na naman, trabaho na naman.” “Tapos na ang day-off…”

But, as I aged older, the years seem short now. I even sometimes hear myself say…

“Pasukan na naman?” “Di ko man lang na-enjoy ang sembreak.”
And now, I can SOMETIMES realize the brevity of life.
Sometimes… ?

Yes! Kasi may mga araw sa buhay ko bilang estudyante na nasasabi ko…

“Ang tagal naman magbakasyon. Tagal ng sembreak!” “Hay! Ang tagal naman ng class. Tinatamad na ko!!!” “Di pa ba uwian? Bato na ko!”
I know! Nagdaan ka rin sa ganyan. Nasabi mo rin yan!
But still, I can realize how short life is. “Life is fleeting as vapor”, the Bible says. Para lang tayong mga bula. We appear for a little time and then vanish away. QUESTIONS,
Paano mo ba nagamit ang TIME mo?

Paano mo nagamit ang kung ide-describe ko, the most precious commodity on earth….
Yung the most precious gift one can give…
