A trip to Hundred Island National Park is a great diversion from the busy urban life . This is one of the places I visited and will never ever forget. It was last November of 2010 when I got a chance to experience the beauty and the adventure that lies in the hundred wonders - Hundred Islands! Parola at Lucap Wharf I was with my classmates and other colleagues when we visited the place. It was a sort of team building for all Electronics Engineering student of Bulacan State University. At first, I planned not to go because of the workloads that I had since I was a graduating student that time but since it would be the last for the school year and I needed some break that time, I decided to count myself in. Last January 2013, Tony, Jonah and I were in the Summer Capital organizing a trip. It was our last day and we grabbed the chance to relax before we went back to Bulacan. We were supposed to go to Chocolate de Batirol but in the interest of time, we decided to just to go somewhere near. It was a luck that I happened to see Cafe by the Ruins. Just with the name alone, our interest is enough to get stimulated. The Facade Located in the heart of the city, Café by the Ruins will really take you out of the busy streets of Baguio. Its bamboo fences, wooden crafts, and rustic interiors matched up together to bring a cozy ambiance. At first, you will be intrigued why it was associated with 'ruins' and upon my research, it was the war-torn house of the first civil governor of Benguet - Phelps Whitmarsh. I also found out that this cafe is famous for it's breakfast but unfortunately, when we got there, we just had a coffee and their delicious cinnamon bread and ensaymada. ...

Tagaytay has been a place where our peer usually hang out since 2009. Aside from being easily accessible from the Manila, its mild climate and dramatic scenery, this place has a lot to offer for foodies like us. For foodies, there are many must-try restaurants located around the place. One of which is the The Grill by Antonio's. Last July 4, I got a chance to dine here. Planned a week before, assuming that it would be a holiday since I am working on a project that is US-based, I immediately confirmed that I would be joining them and paid my part for the hotel. God is really great in putting things together. What can I say? He is always in perfect timing! The start of my “24th New Year” is something I would never forget for all my life. With a new blessing of life and a level higher in my work, I really have so much to be thankful for. Best Birthday Yet!

This was an opportunity that I could not miss so even if it was just the first month of 2013 and even if I have already a scheduled trip in Ilocos this June, I grabbed this chance of joining DJEF and helped them organizing the Seminars and Field Trips of BS Computer Engineering of Bulacan State University – bus rental, catering services, certificates, and more. In return, I have explored Ilocos Provinces for free and have a good travel experience for the first quarter of 2013. Anyway, DJEF is a travel agency owned and managed by my travel buddy – Jonah Meneses.
